Associate Director

Castelli Gallery is looking for a full-time Gallery Associate. The position is part of a small team and responsibilities include a variety of tasks. Gallery hours are Tuesday - Saturday from 10 am - 6pm: Extra hours may be required occasionally during gallery openings and events. Candidate must have knowledge of Post-War and Contemporary Art. At least 4 years of experience at a gallery, auction house, museum, or art advisory is required. Familiarity of the Contemporary art world with an understanding of New York is necessary.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:Manage the day-to-day operations of the gallery. The ideal candidate must familiarize themself with all relevant gallery contacts. Manage the general gallery inquiries. Review all inbound emails. Maintain an organized system of the inbox and related folders. The gallery maintains 2 locations and has 3-4 exhibitions per year. Assist with the preparation of gallery exhibitions, particularly artwork research, exhibition catalogues, and publications. The position is full time, and can either be 4 or 5 days per week.
