VIMA - Executive Director

The Virgin Islands Museum of Art (VIMA) seeks an accomplished, entrepreneurial leader to serve as its founding Executive Director. Located in the heart of historic Charlotte Amalie on St. Thomas, VIMA is an ambitious new non-collecting art museum envisioned as a vibrant cultural gathering place celebrating the artistic and cultural heritage of the U.S. Virgin Islands while creating meaningful connections among contemporary artists and artistic practice in the Virgin Islands, the Caribbean, and the international art world.

Construction is underway on the Museum's new $15 million facility, scheduled to open in 2030. The Executive Director will lead all aspects of the Museum's development, including strategic planning, organizational and staff development, fundraising, exhibition and program planning, community partnerships, and successful completion of the capital project.

Salary range $225,000–$275,000 plus benefits and relocation assistance. EA/EO. Apply
