Canvas Stretcher / Art Preparator- NYC Art Studio

NYC artist studio is seeking an experienced freelance Canvas Stretcher / Art Preparator for project-based work with the possibility of ongoing studio work.Responsibilities include stretching and preparing large-scale canvases, assembling stretcher bars and cross braces, gessoing, sanding, and general surface preparation.Professional experience in an artist studio, gallery, museum, framing studio, or fine-art environment is preferred.Must be detail-oriented and experienced handling finished artwork.Compensation: $35/hour to start, depending on experience.Please send a short resume or description of relevant experience, along with references or examples of previous work if available.
