Bortolami Gallery is seeking a detail oriented and experienced registrar to head logistics and post-sale duties.

Responsibilities and for Head Registrar include, but are not limited to:Maintain accurate database including artwork tracking.Manage post sale logistics by providing shipping estimates with prompt and courteous responses.Manage storage at the gallery and at off-site storage warehouses.Organize and assist with timelines, developing budgets for gallery exhibitions, art fairs and off-site exhibitions.Provide timely shipping quotes and logistics advice to assist sales team.Coordinate with Preparators for efficient and safe packing and movement of artwork.Contribute to the development and implementation of protocols for the support staff.Produce condition reports and installation instructions with the assistance of the Preparators.Generate and track consignments, loans and certificates of authenticity.

Ideal candidate qualifications include:3-5 years Registrar experience working in a gallery setting.Active interest in contemporary art and art galleries.Fluency in Mac OS, Microsoft Office suite and Artlogic or similar art management database.Strong understanding of gallery operations including loans, consignments, insurance, domestic and international shipping and sales tax rules.Position is Full-time, on-site, 5 days a week.Salary commensurate with experience. There is another week of vacation at end of year when the gallery also closes operations.
