Museum Registrar Jobs

13 open roles · 53 on record · checked 31 October 2026

Registrars manage the paperwork and logistics of objects: loans, insurance, shipping, documentation.

A registrar controls the paperwork that lets objects move: loan agreements, insurance, customs and shipping, condition reports and the records that say where everything is. The role divides into collections registrars, who look after what the museum owns, and exhibitions registrars, who handle incoming and outgoing loans. Museum registration is a professional track of its own, and postings usually name a collections management system in the requirements.

Also advertised as Assistant Registrar, Associate Registrar, Exhibitions Registrar, Loans Registrar, Collections Registrar, Régisseur des collections, Registrator:in.

On record: Assistant Registrar 9 · Associate Registrar 9 · Collections Registrar 3 · Exhibitions Registrar 1
