Part-Time Art HandlerCompany: Aiston Fine Art ServicesLocation: 45-21 37th St., Long Island City, NY 11101Founded: 2002Aiston Fine Art Services, an established and expanding fine art transportation, logistics, and storage company, is seeking skilled, responsible, and experienced candidates for part-time Art Handler positions.We are looking for experienced art handlers who can work as part of a professional crew handling, packing, transporting, and installing artwork.

Candidates with sufficient experience may also be considered for work as a Part-Time Lead Art Handler.This position is well suited for experienced art handlers seeking part-time work based on company needs and their availability.ResponsibilitiesHandle, prepare, pack, and install fragile and valuable works of art.Work in various environments, including our warehouse, company trucks, galleries, residences, museums, and other client locations.Properly pack and protect artwork for transportation and storage.Install and deinstall artwork on location.Complete required paperwork, labeling, and handling records.Follow company procedures for the safe handling and transportation of artwork.Maintain a professional appearance and conduct when working with clients and other industry professionals.QualificationsMinimum of 1 year of professional art handling experience.Knowledge of art handling, packing, installation, and transportation procedures.Ability to work effectively as part of a team.Detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility.Ability to safely perform the physical requirements associated with professional art handling.Professional and presentable appearance.Preferred Qualifications — Higher Starting WageCandidates with additional experience or qualifications may qualify for a higher starting wage, including:Ability to drive a box truck.Knowledge of ELD and DOT regulations.Experience as a Lead Art Handler.Experience leading art handling crews and managing jobs on-site.Experience communicating directly with clients and site contacts.Experience condition checking artwork; Articheck experience preferred but not required.Ability to conduct site surveys/specifications.Strong installation, packing, and problem-solving skills.Work SchedulePart-time position.Work is scheduled based on company workload and employee availability.Typical working hours are approximately 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, although hours vary depending on individual jobs.Candidates should have reasonable weekday availability.Weekend work and out-of-state projects may occasionally be available but are not required.This position may be a good fit for experienced freelance art handlers looking to supplement their existing schedules with additional work.How to ApplyPlease send your resume to jobs@aiston.com.Please include a brief description of your art handling experience, general availability, driving experience, and any Lead Art Handler experience.
