Part-Time / On-Call Fine Art Handler

About the PositionBasics Transport LLC is seeking experienced and dependable Fine Art Handlers for part-time, on-call assignments at a major New York City auction house.This position is ideal for individuals seeking flexible, occasional work in the fine art industry.

Assignments are scheduled based on client needs, and weekly hours are not guaranteed.ResponsibilitiesSafely handle, move, load, and unload fine art and valuable objects.Assist with artwork movement and placement within auction house facilities.Wrap, protect, and secure artwork using appropriate handling techniques.Work collaboratively with other art handlers and supervisors.Follow client procedures and safety guidelines.Maintain professionalism and attention to detail.QualificationsPrevious fine art handling experience preferred.Experience in an auction house, gallery, museum, or fine art transportation environment is a plus.Ability to safely lift and maneuver heavy or fragile objects, with assistance or equipment as appropriate.Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.Flexible weekday availability.Compensation & Schedule$25–$30 per hour, depending on experience.Part-time, on-call work with assignments scheduled according to project needs.
