Registrar Internship

The trainee will be present for the duration of the exhibition to maintain and monitor it until it is dismantled, and will take part in setting up the new exhibition. The internship at WIELS is unpaid. Working hours and days are flexible. Information on the exhibitions at WIELS can be found on the WIELS website.

Information specific to the intern's tasks:

During the exhibition

Exhibition maintenance, replacement of ephemeral works.

Cleaning of exhibition spaces, works and display cases.

Monitoring the conservation of works in the exhibition spaces.

Creating and updating the list of works in the exhibition in the Artsystems 5 database.

Creating and updating reports on the condition of works in the Articheck application.

Assisting in the coordination and communication of the in-house exhibition team.

Helping to maintain the building's art reserves and storage rooms.

Exhibition dismantling

Helping the stage managers and the technical team in dismantling the exhibition.

Return transport.

Packing, handling and conservation of works.

Creating and updating the list of works in the exhibition in the Artsystems 5 database.

Creating and updating reports on the condition of the works in the Articheck application.

Training: collection and exhibition management, art history, and art conservation.

Languages: French, English, Dutch, or other languages
